Improving Mental Health
Independent evaluation confirms that Tellmi improves mental health in young people.
In 2022, the Evidence Based Practice Unit at University College London and the Anna Freud Centre conducted an independent evaluation of the Tellmi app. The nine month study of 876 young people found statistically significant evidence that using the Tellmi app improved their mental health.
Using Tellmi led to increased confidence and decreased feelings of loneliness. The app gave young people the tools to manage their own mental health and overall, young people using the app reported feeling better and less alone.
At the end of the independent evaluation:

“Tellmi helped me connect with other members who are in the same boat as me. They have helped give me support and advice and made me know I’m not the only one suffering. This app has really changed things for me and I’ve really picked up loads of helpful advice from really caring members. It’s also nice that other people’s stories are available to read. This really helped me and made me see that speaking up was the best way to heal. Thank you Tellmi 👏🏼❤️.”
