About us
Tellmi is a British Social Enterprise which launched in 2017. Formerly known as MeeToo, Tellmi is successfully addressing the mental health crisis and tackling health inequalities for young people.
Founded by psychologist Suzi Godson PhD and engineer Kerstyn Comley PhD, Tellmi’s unique approach combines pre-moderated peer support and preemptive counsellor intervention to provide young people with easy access to the appropriate level of support. It is one of the few digital platforms available for NHS commissioning where young people can safely connect with age-banded peers to share their experiences, advice, and information.
A pioneering force in the digital peer support space, Tellmi has now safely supported 90,000+ young people.

The Tellmi Youth Advisory Board
The Tellmi youth advisory board play a vital role in ensuring that everything we say, do and create is coherent, accessible and authentic. They are consulted on all new development ideas and their feedback guides decision making within Tellmi.

Freddy
I’m Freddy and I am an autistic wheelchair user. I work as a web developer so have a good understanding of balancing accessibility with technology. Having spoken at various conferences on autism, I hope to bring enthusiasm and experience to this role!
-
Alex
I’m Alex, I’m currently training as an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. I have over 3 years of experience of working within mental health services and healthcare settings and I had anorexia as a teenager. I used to volunteer for Tellmi in the past as a supervisor SuperPeer.
-
Izzy
I’m Izzy, I’m 18 and I’m from Scotland. I’m autistic, which is something I have really struggled with throughout my life, however through using Tellmi and talking about my issues with other people I’ve come to see how dark places can become a little brighter. In my free time, I really like to read and bake, and I also speak 3 languages!
-
Thomas
I’m Thomas and I’ve just finished my first year of media studies at university. I benefited from using Tellmi for several years when I had a tough time in my mid teens and I am really pleased to be a youth advisor now.
-
Jayden
I’m Jayden, I’m a trans man from England, I have a passion for helping others and playing online games. I hope to use my past experiences to help other young people on Tellmi. I will also give helpful feedback and hope to be part of a great team to make the Tellmi community grow.

Velvet
I’m Velvet. I’m 18 and I got diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when I was six. This year I’ve been helping Tellmi develop resources for young people like me. I’m really happy to be part of this youth advisory board
Our Advisors and Research Partners
Tellmi is lucky enough to have some amazing research partners and a stellar advisory group.
We work closely with Panos Vostanis, Professor of Child Mental Health at the University of Leicester. Panos is a child psychiatrist who has longstanding clinical experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and families who are in care, homeless, adopted, refugees, young offenders, or living in disadvantage, both in the UK and in developing countries.
We have an ongoing research partnership with Professor Sir Simon Baron-Cohen and Dr Carrie Allison at the Autism Research Centre at the University of Cambridge. Our work together is focused on understanding the challenges that autistic Tellmi users experience and how we can improve the way that we support them. We also work closely with Dr Tracey Parsons at the Autism Centre for Excellence.
We have conducted a major Innovate UK funded project on Suicide and Self-Harm with Dr Lucy Biddle and Dr Myles-Jay Linton at the University of Bristol.
Since our inception, we have received ongoing support and advice from psychiatrist and epidemiologist Professor Sir Simon Wessley, Professor Henrietta Bowden-Jones (OBE) and educationalist Sir Anthony Seldon.
